BIOSEAL ADVANCED: Proven Efficacy Through Clinical Studies

Fast Hemostasis for Diagnostic & Interventional Procedures

In a peer-reviewed clinical trial* comparing the efficacy of two compression adjuncts
in 176 percutaneous vascular access procedures, BIOSEAL ADVANCED (PRO QR)
was twice as fast in achieving hemostasis as the control D-Stat, for both venous and
arterial procedures with no infections or adverse events. Click here for the study
abstract that was published in the Journal of Vascular and Interventional
    Radiology.

Effective in Controlling Severe Bleeding

In a randomized 40 swine animal study of lethal arterial injury (6 mm arterial femoral
punch biopsy performed under a Department of Defense grant at the University of
Michigan), BioSeal ADVANCED (formerly PRO QR) provided effective
hemostasis in 4 minutes and outperformed controls (other military products**):

  • The only test product with 100% survival rate
  • 77%+ decrease in hemorrhage volume
  • Reduced resuscitation fluid needs

**Controls include hemostatic agents for traumatic wounds.
